Learning Environments Australasia Annual Conference, Perth, 28-31st May 2019
Transformance: People, Places and Pedagogy – Continual transformation within learning environments is shifting our understanding of the way people learn, what they learn, and where they learn.
Transformance is the 19th annual Learning Environments Australasia (LEA) conference organised by architects and educators for architects and educators. You will hear from internationally and nationally renowned speakers and spend time learning and networking with colleagues. The event promises to stimulate and challenge thinking, in particular about the relationship between space for learning and ongoing change. The key question underpinning the Transformance theme therefore is a highly pertinent one: How do education and learning spaces adapt to a world of rapid change and disruption?
LEA are a partner in the ILETC project and support our research by providing insights and expertise from their broad membership and helping to bridge the gap between research and the practices of designers, architects, educators and education authorities. Project lead Associate Professor Wesley Imms and research fellow Chris Bradbeer will be presenting Extraordinary Spaces for Excellent Teaching? How are Teachers Using Innovative Learning Environments? A report from the ILETC Project.
