Transitions18 – continuing the conversation
The first of our Transitions18 graduate research symposia for this year is at The University of Melbourne, this Friday (1st June).
The event features a keynote by leading education researcher and consultant, Dr Julia Atkin – “Challenging Transitions: reflections on 30 plus years of learning deeply with educators and architects.” The presentations by graduate researchers will provide rich detail of their investigations, followed by extended discussion sessions. Expert interlocutors will create and sustain a discussion between presenters and audience, encouraging questions, insights and exchange of views. This year we welcome interlocutors:
- Chris Bradbeer, A/Principal, Stonefields School, Auckland, NZ.
- Dr Scott Alterator, La Trobe University, Bendigo, Aust.
- A/Prof. Clare Newton, LEaRN, The University of Melbourne, Aust.
- Jill Laughlin, Principal, Camberwell High School, Melbourne, Aust.
Presentations will be video recorded and made available on our website after the event. A full proceedings containing papers from all 3 Transitions events will be published late this year.
